A few things about me:
The sole owner and artist behind Prater Calligraphy is Kimberly Prater.
I graduated from Marietta College in 2000 with a B.A. in
Advertising/Public Relations and a minor in studio art.
It took only one beginners calligraphy class to get me hooked on this beautiful art form.
I learned 3 calligraphy hands during college and taught the rest to myself.
I add about one new calligraphy hand (or font) a year.
The term starving artist does have some truth to it.
Since, I would like to eat outside of the wedding season,
I have a full-time job Monday-Friday.
So, when you get my voice mail during the day, please leave me a message!
I will return your call as soon I can in the evening.
I work out of my home by appointment only.
However, with the modern marvels of email, credit cards and shipping,
if you don't want to meet with me you don't have to.
